What?

After hours of troubleshooting ,cleaning, oiling, cussing..........I think I have found the problem. I ran out of thread and opened a new cone. On my practice piece another thread works great! Put back the original thread and it breaks and gets really tight. Switch to another cone and it works great! so-it's got to be my new cone of thread-who'd a thought it!

The culprit!

Lesson learned -Try a different thread first!

    1. My machine needed a good cleaning anyway! I think Cherry is going to work out-the hum of the machine lulls her to sleep for hours!

  2. was the new spool the same, or a different, brand than the first?

    1. It was the same brand and color, Signature. The guy that came over and serviced my machine said it might have been over dyed. Sometimes if the color is not right the manufacture will dye it again. He tried it too and agreed -it was the thread!

  3. This just happened to me yesterday....I did everything and then finally changed the thread and it worked perfect. Weird how that could affect it. Glad you got your machine working too. It is so frustrating when the thread keeps breaking.
